Tides collects no personal data whatsoever. The information you enter into the app — including profile names, cycle dates, mood logs, and notes — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (iOS UserDefaults) and never leaves your device.
We have no servers. There is no backend. There is no database we can access. We are technically incapable of reading your data because we never receive it.
Tides does not use Apple HealthKit and does not request access to any health-related system data. Menstrual cycle information you enter is stored only within the app's own local storage and is not shared with Apple Health or any other application.
Tides offers auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly and yearly) processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle, process, or store any payment information. All billing, receipts, and payment data are managed exclusively by Apple.
When you make a purchase, Apple may share with us a transaction receipt to verify your subscription status. This receipt contains no personally identifiable information and is processed on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework.
To manage, change, or cancel your subscription, visit iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Tides contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use:

We do not share data with anyone, because we do not have any data to share. No third parties receive information from Tides.
The only external service Tides communicates with is Apple's App Store infrastructure for the purpose of verifying subscription entitlements. This communication is handled by Apple's StoreKit framework and is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
You can export all of your data at any time using the Export function in the app's Setup tab. The export produces a JSON file you can save or inspect.
To delete all data, use the "Wipe everything" option in the Setup tab. Deleting the app from your device also removes all associated data permanently, as there is no cloud backup.
Tides is rated 12+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because we do not collect data from anyone at all.
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
We will never introduce data collection or third-party tracking without updating this policy and, where required by law, seeking your consent.
